Chocolate Cornflakes Balls

If you want to make some attractive kids friendly cereal balls, give a try to this super quick,easy breezy and attractive balls with chocolate and cornflakes.Actually i want to finish some leftover cornflakes sitting since a long in my pantry, finally i finished them as these quick and addictive balls for our yesterday snacks. My kids couldnt stop themselves having this healthy delicious balls. I used confectioners sugar for coating so that these balls looked exactly like snow balls.

Today is our last day of blogging marathon, as i choosed Kids delight as theme, these cute balls suits pectly and am sending them to Srivallis  Kids Delight-Anniversary Potluck Party.. Check out the other bloggers running this 21st edition here.


3cups Cornflakes (grind bit coarsely)
1/2cup Powdered sugar
4tbsp Unsweetened cocoa powder
4tbsp Butter (melted)
Milk ( as per need)
Confectioners sugar (as per need)

Take the grounded cornflakes,powdered sugar and unsweetened cocoa powder in a mixing bowl.

Now add the melted butter and mix everything well.

Sprinkle enough milk and turn everything as a thick mixture.

Take enough mixture and roll it as medium sized balls, roll this balls in confectioners sugar and conserve them in an air tightened box.

Steamed Onion Chickpeas Savoury Balls Vengaya Kondakadalai Uppu Kozhukattai

Hope you all had a fabulous ganesh chathurthi celebrations, mine went well and we had a fantastic feast yesterday with our favourite foods. Coming to this yummy savoury balls, i prepared them quickly before yesterdays pooja, as i want something savoury for prasadams. This uppu kozhukattais take hardly less than half an hour to get ready and they tastes super delicious. Onions and chickpeas gives a wonderful flavour and taste to this easy breezy kozhukattais.With Ragi Paal Kozhukattais,Red Rice Ammini Kozhukattais and this onion chickpeas savoury balls we celebrated our favourite god Ganeshas birthday yesterday and enjoyed this healthy foods thoroughly..Sending to my own event Healthy Dish-Steamed Foods guest hosted by Jaleela of Cookbookjaleela,my own event CWS-Chickpeas guest hosted by Kavi of Foodmania and to Pritis Festive Food Ganesh Chaturthi.


1cup Rice flour
2cups Water
1no Onions (large and chopped)
1/2cup Chickpeas (cooked & mashed slightly)
2tbsp Grated coconut
1/2tsp Mustard seeds
1/2tsp Urad dal
1/2tsp Channadal
2nos Dry red chillies (broken)
1/4tsp Asafoetida powder
Oil
Salt
Few curry leaves

Heat enough oil, let splutters the mustard seeds,urad dal,channadal, add the broken red chillues,asafoetida powder and curry leaves, fry until the chillies turns brown.

Now add the chopped onions, saute until they turns transculent, add immediately the water, grated coconut and bring everything to boil.

Once the water starts boiling, add the mashed chickpeas,cook for few more seconds.

Add the rice flour to the cooking water and put the flame in simmer,stir well until the rice flour gets well cooked and turn as a thick dough.

Keep aside and let them cool completely.

Knead the cooked spiced rice flour dough and make medium sized balls out of it.

Steam cook for 10-15minutes and enjoy warm.

Ragi Rava Sweet Balls

I tried few dishes using the famous ragi rava, one among those dishes is this cute healthy sweet balls. This balls are really very simple and you will enjoy thoroughly. Ragi rava is quite versatile and you can prepare any dish with this nutritious healthy ragi rava.

This ragi rava balls goes for simple ingredients,i just added few almonds nuts to give more nuttiness to these simple sweet balls. Also i rolled these balls using milk and just used a teaspoon of ghee for frying cashew nuts, else this nutritious sweet balls are quite addictive and you wont stop munching them. With a cup of ragi rava, you will get 6-7medium balls, an incredible sweet balls suits pectly for a sudden cravings.Sending this cute balls to my own event CWS-Ragi or Quinoa guest hosted by my dear sister Divya.



1cup Ragi rava
1cup Sugar
10nos Almonds
4nos Cardamom seeds
1tsp Ghee
Few broken cashew nuts
Milk as per need

Grind the sugar and cardamom seeds together as fine powder.

Meanwhile roast the ragi ravanalmonds in a kadai until a nice aroma comes out, put off the stove and let them cool completely..

Grind this roasted ragi rava and almonds as bit coarse powder,add the sugar mixture and mix well.

Heat the ghee and fry the broken cashews until they turns brown

Add the hot ghee and fried cashews to the ragi rava-sugar mixture, mix everything well.

Add enough milk to the mixture and make out small balls from the mixture, you can also use ghee while making this laddoos.

Store it in an air tightened box.
