10 Ways to Detoxify Your Body
Monday, May 12, 2014
Three naturopathic physicians share insight on why and when to detox, what type of detox program is right for you, and 10 ways to start.
"The body has its own natural healing system "Detoxification enhances this system,"
How Does Detoxification Work?
Basically, detoxification means cleaning the blood. It does this mainly by removing impurities from the blood in the liver, where toxins are processed for elimination. The body also eliminates toxins through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymph and skin. However, when this system is compromised, impurities arent properly filtered and every cell in the body is adversely affected.
A detox program can help the bodys natural cleaning process by:
1) Resting the organs through fasting;
2) Stimulating the liver to drive toxins from the body;
3) Promoting elimination through the intestines, kidneys and skin;
4) Improving circulation of the blood; and
5) Refueling the body with healthy nutrients.
"Detoxification works because it addresses the needs of individual cells, the smallest units of human life," says Bennett.
How Do You Know if You Need to Detoxify?
Bennett suggests that everyone should detox at least once a year. A short detoxifying program is generally safe; in fact, scientific studies show that a detox is beneficial for health. However, Bennett cautions against detoxifying for nursing mothers, children, and patients with chronic degenerative diseases, cancer or tuberculosis. Consult your health care practitioner if you have questions about whether detoxing is right for you.
Today, with more toxins in the environment than ever, "its critical to detox," says Linda Page, N.D., Ph.D., the author of Detoxification (Healthy Healing Publications). Page recommends detoxing for symptoms such as unexplained fatigue, sluggish elimination, irritated skin, allergies or low-grade infections; bags under the eyes; a distended stomach even if the rest of your body is thin; menstrual difficulties; or mental confusion.
Where Do You Begin?
First, lighten up your toxin load. Eliminate alcohol, coffee, cigarettes, ined sugars and saturated fats, all of which act as toxins in the body and are obstacles to your healing process. Also, minimize use of chemical-based household cleaners and personal health care products (cleansers, shampoos, deodorants and toothpastes), and substitute natural alternatives.
Another deterrent to good health is stress, which triggers your body to release stress hormones into your system. While these hormones can provide the "adrenaline rush" to win a race or meet a deadline, in large amounts they create toxins and slow down detoxification enzymes in the liver. So its a good idea to detox stressful life situations along with detoxifying your body. Yoga and meditation are simple and effective ways to relieve stress by resetting your physical and mental reactions to the inevitable stress life will bring.
Which Detox Program is Best for You?
There are many detoxification programs, depending on your individual needs. Many programs follow a 7-day schedule because, as Bennett explains, "it takes the body some time to clean the blood." His program involves fasting on liquids for two days, followed by a caully-planned five-day diet to allow the digestive system to rest. He also advises supplements, herbs, exercise, and practices such as dry-skin brushing and hydrotherapy to enhance circulation.
Page recommends a 3-7 day juice fast (drinking only fresh fruit and vegetable juices and water) as an effective way to release toxins.
Other popular detoxing programs include:
•Cleansing supplement packages, which generally contain fiber, vitamins, herbs and minerals. There are several safe products on the market, with easy-to-follow instructions.
•A routine of drinking only water one day each week — an ancient practice of many cultures.
10 Ways to Help Your Body Detoxify
After a detoxification program, you can cleanse your body daily through diet, supplements and lifestyle practices.
1. Eat plenty of fiber, including brown rice and organically-grown fresh fruits and vegetables. Beets, radishes, artichokes, cabbage, broccoli, spirulina, chlorella, and seaweed are excellent detoxifying foods.
2. Cleanse and protect the liver by taking herbs such as dandelion root, burdock and milk thistle, and drinking green tea.
3. Take vitamin C, which helps the body produce glutathione, a liver compound that drives away toxins.
4. Drink at least 2 quarts of water daily.
5. Breathe deeply to allow oxygen to circulate more completely through your system.
6. Transform stress by emphasizing positive emotions.
7. Practice hydrotherapy by taking a very hot shower for five minutes, allowing the water to run on your back. Follow with cold water for 30 seconds. Do this three times, and then get into bed for 30 minutes.
8. Sweat in a sauna so your body can eliminate wastes through perspiration.
9. Dry-brush your skin or try detoxifying patches or detox foot spas / foot baths to remove toxins through your pores. Special brushes are available at natural products stores.
10. What is the most important way to detoxify? "Exercise," says Bennett. "Yoga or jump-roping are good. One hour every day." Also try qigong, a martial-arts based exercise system that includes exercises specifically for detoxifying or cleansing, as well as many other exercises with specific health benefits.

How The System Of Human Body works
Saturday, April 26, 2014
Have you ever wondered about how the human body works? Many of us are born, live, and grow old, without even knowing how our body works and we never ever really try to know. Our body is an amazing creation. Knowing about our body, and how it works, can help you maintain a strong, healthy body and live a better life.
The human body is like a fully automatic complex machine, with many little parts that work by themselves or with other parts to perform specific functions. Sometimes, it seems like our body has a mind of its own and it embarrasses you. So it’s important to know your body so you can recognize what is normal body behavior and what is not. If there is a problem with how your body works, by recognizing that there is a problem, you can take steps to fix it or get help.
Your body is comprised of tiny microscopic cells. Your body is made up of trillions of them. That is more than 1,000,000,000,000 cells! Cells are so small you cannot see them without a microscope. Cells are very important as they produce energy required for daily activities, or hold the coded instructions for everything from the color of your hair to whether you have freckles or not. Cells differentiate from each other to perform different, important tasks within the body. For example, some cells might become brain cells while others make bone, and red blood cells carry oxygen throughout the body, while white blood cells fight infection.
When a group of cells work together to perform a specific function, they are called tissue. There are four types of tissue within the body. The first, epithelial tissue protects the body and the organs by forming a protective outer layer. The skin, which is an example of epithelial tissue, is the first line of defense against infections.
Nerve tissue carries messages from the brain to the rest of your body by sending electrical impulses. The electrical impulses tell the muscles when to contract and affect everything from the beating of your heart to the wiggling of your toes.
Muscle tissue functions in movement because the muscle cells contract, shorten and relax. Muscle cells know when to contract or shorten because they receive electrical signals from nerve tissue.
Finally, connective tissue holds the body together, provides support, insulation, and protection. Bones, tendons, and ligaments are all examples of connective tissue.
When two or more types of tissues work together to perform any specific task it is called an organ. An organ system is formed when two or more organs work together to perform a larger task. The mouth, throat, stomach, large and small intestines, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder all work together, as the digestive system, to process the food we eat so that our cells can absorb the nutrients and convert it into energy.
Like this, there are many systems in the body, such as the skeletal, muscular, circulatory, nervous, digestive, immune, respiratory, urinary, and reproductive systems and they all interact with each other every second of our lives. Without these systems, humans would not be able to grow, maintain life, and reproduce.
Every machine requires fuel to work efficiently, your body being a fully automatic machine runs entirely on minerals and water. As an incredibly powerful solvent in your body, the hydrogen molecules in pure water provide nutrients in the form of energy to your cells and remove discarded, used energy. Without regular replacement of the water in your body, the cells will die, and so will your body. Likewise, without replacing essential trace minerals systematically in the correct, water soluble, ionic form, the cells will malfunction, become weak and fatally diseased.
Calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and sodium are the five essential or major minerals for your body. Other important trace elements consist of chromium, copper, iodine, iron, manganese, and zinc. Additionally, selenium plays a key role in the maintenance of good health. Other trace elements like sulphur, nickel, cobalt, fluorine, oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, and nitrogen also have a part to play in your wellbeing. The human body depends upon 84 of the known 106 elements to maintain optimum health, many more than are now recognized.
Your body can do amazing things if it has the proper fuelo materials. For example, your body can grow, repair and heal itself if you provide it with essential nutrition and proper physical exercise. Vitamins are a major component of essential nutrition. Your body requires certain vitamins to function correctly. Without them, your body simply does not work properly.
Essential Vitamins
Essential vitamins are those that your body needs to get from foods because it is not able to make them on its own. There are 13 vitamins that are considered essential for proper body function. These include the B-vitamins and vitamins A, C, D, E and K. The B vitamins are thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and folate. Each of the essential vitamins is used by your body for different processes and help with different systems, including your immune system, nervous system, and cardiovascular system.
Sources
Vitamins are best absorbed by the body when they come from whole and natural food sources. Vitamin supplements are helpful but not a good substitute for your childs balanced diet. The USDA recommends a diet centered on fruits and vegetables with whole grains, lean meats and dairy products to serve your childs nutritional needs. Some good sources of Vitamins A through K are: milk, cheese, eggs, whole wheat, oatmeal, spinach, legumes, kale, meat, fish, citrus fruits, bell peppers, broccoli, tomatoes, peaches, cantaloupe and mangoes.
Vitamin K plays an important role to strengthen the bones, avoid blood clotting and prevent hardening of arteries. Dark, leafy vegetables are good source of Vitamin K.
Vitamin C is an antioxidant vitamin that is believed to protect the brain from damage caused by Alzheimer. It helps you to tackle stress better and also protects you from common cold. A glass of Orange juice, citrus fruits, bell peppers, kiwifruit, papaya, broccoli, dark leafy greens and strawberries will provide you Vitamin C.
The antioxidant Vitamin E fights free radicals and reduces risk of heart disease, stroke and Alzheimer. Daily intake of nuts and seeds such as almonds and sunflower seeds will provide you Vitamin E.
Potassium helps to maintain blood pressure. It also helps reduce your risk of stroke. Beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, bananas, dried fruits, winter squash, cantaloupe, kiwi, orange juice, prune juice and avocados are good sources of Potassium.

Not affected by the other body if youre a beginner

I know its very rare that you go to the gym is not affected by other body, where the magnitude of their bodies and their ability to carry heavy weights too.
But everyone of us has a special ability and a special force different from the others, so it is not important bearing sleeve, but it is always important to be caul on your continued bodybuilding exercises.
From there might be someone stronger to you, but that means hes better than you?, Of course not, but that means he has continued where they are a short period or longitudinal, but the most important is to continue.
You do not rehearse in order to be a hero in lifting weights, but only to improve the shape and strength of your body.
Try to get rid of worrying about how much weight you can or you can not drive.
Also see during the period of practice, some of the people practicing 6 or 7 exercises for muscle and only one, but this is mad
They always marvel and wonder why their bodies do not grow?
The answer is because they follow the style is Magdy, it may be that their bodies more harm than benefit them
You must be exercised 3 exercises per muscle max.
At the end of my talk I advise you to
1 - do not bother you carry, but cared only muscle workout constantly
2 - continue to insist on exercise, no matter how long period of time even if the year
3 - settled only three exercises maximum (per muscle).
Lower Body Weight as we Age Linked to Increased Alzheimer’s Disease Risk
Wednesday, April 16, 2014

Many lifestyle factors are associated with the development of the memory-robbing form of dementia known as Alzheimer’s disease. Smoking, diet, lack of exercise and poor B-vitamin status all contribute to the sixth most prevalent cause of death each year in the US. Past studies have shown that excess weight in mid-life increases the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.
Evidence published in the journal Neurology finds that low body weight (as measured by Body Mass Index or BMI) is a strong predictor for those at risk of developing this most devastating form of dementia. Proper weight management at all stages of life is critical to lower the risk for developing Alzheimer’s disease.
Underweight during Advancing Years Associated with Increased Alzheimer’s Disease Risk

Natural health followers have long known that excess abdominal fat and obesity are critical factors that promote an unhealthy cascade of metabolic reactions that lead to cognitive decline and eventually, Alzheimer’s disease. The result of a new study explains the delicate relationship between body weight and dementia risk, as advancing years and a lower BMI are show to significantly increase risk for future development and progression of the disease.
Researchers examined 506 people with advanced brain imaging techniques and analyses of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) to look for biomarkers associated with Alzheimers disease. Many biochemical markers are known to be present years before the first symptoms begin. The group was comprised of people with no memory problems, people with mild cognitive impairment, or mild memory problems, and people with a diagnosis of Alzheimers disease.
Study Finds Direct Link between Low BMI and Amyloid Brain Plaque Formation

After testing body weight and reviewing the results of CSF and brain imaging tests, scientists found that in people with no memory or thinking problems and in people with mild cognitive impairment, those who had the Alzheimers biomarkers were also more likely to have a lower BMI than those who did not have the biomarkers. Dr. Jeffrey Burns, the study leader noted, “85 percent of the people with mild cognitive impairment who had a BMI below 25 had signs of the beta-amyloid plaques in their brains that are a hallmark of the disease, compared to 48 percent of those with mild cognitive impairment who were overweight.”
Researchers conducting the study determined that low body weight and advanced age may result in damage to an area of the brain called the hypothalamus that plays a role in regulating energy metabolism and food intake. Dr. Burns concluded “These results suggest Alzheimers disease brain changes are associated with systemic metabolic changes in the very earliest phases of the disease.” The information provided by this study underscore the importance of maintain a healthy body weight (for most people measured with a BMI range of 20 to 25) throughout life and advancing years to lower the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.

Flu virus into the respiratory tract. Can be inhaled through the air or transmitted from other people who have the flu when they cough or sneeze. In addition, the flu virus can also enter through the hands that touch the face. Once inside, the flu virus began to stick to the cells lining the airways, then multiply.
So far, you will not experience any symptoms and do not feel the presence of the virus. Unfortunately, at this stage you also can not do much because you have not realized already infected with the flu virus.
On days 5 to 7
Immune cells to work and move to the location where the virus multiplies. Immune cells then also give a signal molecule to activate the immune system. Furthermore, the body will increase the immune response to virus attacks and try to prevent the virus does not infect other cells.
At this stage, you will experience the common symptoms of flu such as fever, fatigue, frequent sneezing, cold feeling, and experiencing muscle soreness. When experiencing these symptoms you can reduce it with a cup of tea, take aspirin or acetaminophen to reduce fever.

Ways To Cool Down Your Body Useful Exercises
Monday, February 10, 2014
At the end of an exercise session, leave enough time to cool
down to bring your heart rate, breathing, and temperature
nearer normal (failure to do so can lead to dizziness,
cramps, and soreness next day).
Slowing Heart Rate: Bring body temperature back to normal by
walking around the room for 5 minutes, gradually making your
movements slower as your heart rate returns to normal. This
helps return blood circulation to the organs and brain, guarding
against fainting and dizziness. When you no longer feel sweaty
or out of breath, move on to stretching.
Stretch Your Legs: Stand facing a wall, one foot a good step behind
the other. Press into the wall, front knee bent, and feel a stretch through
the back heel. Place the ball and toes of the front foot on the wall and
bend that knee to stretch the lower calf. Take the same foot to its buttock
and hold, knees together. Turn your back to the wall, extend the same leg
forward (toes raised), bend the standing leg and pivot forward to feel
stretch at the back of the thigh. Repeat on the other leg.
Ball Squeeze: Keep a small rubber ball on your desk or beside the bed.
Squeeze it in your palm for up to a minute twice a day to exercise
your hands.
Finger Mobility: Using the palm of one hand, gently press the back
of the fingers of the other hand toward the inner arm and hold.
Opening the palm, draw the fingers back, trying to take them
toward the forearm. Repeat with the thumb. Repeat on the other hand.
Spread Your Toes: Remove your shoes and socks. Look at your toes.
Lift them and try to stretch each digit away from its neighbors.
Aim for a gap between each toe. It can help to spread the fingers wide
as you practice.

Lifestyle Changes and Lower Body Weight Reduces Cancer Risk by Forty Percent
Saturday, January 25, 2014

It may come as no surprise to many natural health disciplinarians that cancer is largely an avoidable disease that develops and advances due to poor lifestyle habits adopted over the course of a lifetime. Researchers from Britain have found that more than 100,000 cancer cases, nearly one in four cancers diagnosed, could have been prevented by following simple lifestyle changes.
Lead study author Dr. Max Parkin, a cancer epidemiologist based at Queen Mary, University of London publishing on the journalNature remarked “Looking at all the evidence, its clear that around 40 percent of all cancers are caused by things we mostly have the power to change.” Controlling behaviors such as smoking, unhealthy eating, alcohol consumption and being overweight provide a significant shield against the number two killer of adults worldwide.
Nearly 45% of All Cancers Are Preventable Through Lifestyle Modifications

Researchers from the UK analyzed data from cancer cases occurring between 1993 and 2007. The study was designed to determine the proportion that could be attributed to the following 14 risk factors: drinking alcohol, smoking tobacco, insufficient fruits and vegetables in the diet, not eating enough fiber, consuming red and processed meat, excess salt consumption, being overweight or obese, not exercising, infections (such as HPV), sunlight exposure, radiation exposure, chemical exposure. Specifically for women, the scientists examined not breastfeeding and undergoing hormone replacement therapy.
The study provided some predictable resultsthat follow along with the lifestyle pattern of many western cultures. Thirty-four percent of the cancers were found to be linked to smoking, diet, alcohol and excess weight. One in 25 of cancers are linked to a persons job, such as being exposed to chemicals or asbestos. Certain cancer risk factors were found to favor either men or women more prominently.
Lack of Fruits and Vegetables Directly Contributes to Cancer Progression

Insufficient consumption of fruits and vegetables was found to contribute to nearly 6% of the cancers in men, yet was a factor in only 3.4% of the women. Conversely, overweight and obesity played a significant role in risk for 7% of cancersin women versus only 4.1% in the men analyzed. Lead author Parkin noted “We didnt expect to find that eating fruit and vegetables would prove to be so important in protecting men against cancer… and among women we didnt expect being overweight to have a greater effect that alcohol."
The authors of this study concluded that 45% of the cancers found in men could be prevented by altering one or more of the fourteen identified risk factors, along with 40% of all cancers in women. Many health-minded individuals already maintain a natural and healthy diet, and avoid smoking and processed meats. Make note of the 14 identified cancer risk factors to prevent cancer and a host of life-threatening chronic diseases.
