Despite their harmlessness, stretch marks are never pleasant to have and their presence often discourages confident people from enjoying swimming and other activities that expose their bodies. So in order to prevent social embarrassment one has wide ranging options of home remedies to choose from. The best treatment as always is found in nature so here we will show you best natural treatments and herbal home remedies to fade your stretch marks.
The regimen we look at entails repairing your multi-layered skin from the inside with water, good nutrition and exercise; and from the outside with exfoliation, massage and oils. All the natural, herbal chemical free ingredients are conveniently found in your kitchen or local health store, generating better results than other expensive creams and saving you a lot of money.
The earlier you start treatment on red scars, the faster they heal; you must be proactive about treating them as soon as they occur, but do not give up hope, there is still a lot you can do for older white scars. Instead of trying expensive, painful, invasive procedures which may or may not work, with just a little diligent self-maintenance and patience your marks will fade dramatically.
Natural treatments for repairing your skin from inside:
1) Water
Keeping your body well hydrated helps protect the skin from many kinds of problems. Well-hydrated skin results in regular detoxification of skin pores and restores elasticity, which will help a lot in getting rid of stretch marks. Try to drink one to two glasses of water several times during a day. Experts say a minimum of 10 glasses of water per day is the best way to keep the body hydrated. It will also make your skin soft and help maintain its elasticity. It is advisable to avoid coffee, tea or soda as they can cause dehydration.
2) Nutrition
Eating foods rich in essential fatty acids, zinc, silica and vitamins A,C,D,E,K nourishes the body and replenishes your skin. Include oily fish, eggs, liver and lean meats, citrus fruit, tomatoes, almonds, pumpkin seeds, carrots, spinach, green cabbage, kale, Swiss Chard, turnip greens, broccoli, tomatoes, collards and low fat dairy products in your diet.
3) Exercise
Because stretch marks are caused by rapid skin stretches, any physical exercises that tone the underlying muscles (such as swimming, sit-ups, and abdominal crunches) will help them fade. Physical exercises focusing on crunches of abdomen also serve to tone muscle thereby contributing indirectly to reducing stretch marks because excess gain or loss of weight contributes to the formation of stretch marks.

What is asthma?
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory lung disease which causes difficulty in breathing easily. It affects the airways that carry air to and from your lungs. The inside walls of an asthmatics airways are swollen or inflamed. This swelling or inflammation makes the airways obstructed by tightening of muscles, irritation or accumulation of mucous thereby resulting in asthma. Symptoms associated with asthma are coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath and chest tightness.
The tendency to develop asthma is inherited, and it is more common among people who have allergies. Indeed, there are two forms of asthma, allergic asthma and nonallergic asthma, with the allergic form being more common. Allergic asthma develops in people who have allergies, and the same substances (called allergens) that provoke their allergy symptoms also trigger their asthma symptoms. Both the allergy and asthma symptoms are the product of an overreaction by the immune system.
However, with good treatment and management there is no reason why a person with asthma cannot live a normal and active life. Both types of asthma have triggers, and vigilant awareness of these triggers is the first step in living comfortably with asthma. Common triggers for allergic asthma include dust mites, pollen, mold, and pet dander. However, allergies can come from almost any substance like air pollution, respiratory infections, sulfites in food and certain medications.
Non allergic or acute asthma can be sparked by dry air, cold weather, exercise, smoke (including the secondhand variety), strong perfume, stressful situations, intense emotions, even laughing.

Preventive measure for asthma
- Reduce pet dander. If youre allergic to dander, avoid pets with fur or feathers. Having pets regularly bathed or groomed also may reduce the amount of dander in your surroundings.
- Use your air conditioner. Air conditioning reduces the amount of airborne pollen from trees, grasses and weeds that finds its way indoors. Air conditioning also lowers indoor humidity and can reduce your exposure to dust mites. If you dont have air conditioning, try to keep your windows closed during pollen season.
- Prevent mold spores. Clean damp areas in the bath, kitchen and around the house to keep mold spores from developing. Get rid of moldy leaves or damp firewood in the yard.
- Minimize dust. Dust mites are one of the most common allergic asthma triggers. Theyre everywhere in your home, although they love the bedroom most because they feed on the dead skin cells we constantly shed. Banishing dust mites from your home, or at least reducing their ranks, will help ease symptoms. For example, encase pillows, mattresses and box springs in dust-proof covers. Remove carpeting and install hardwood or linoleum flooring. Use washable curtains and blinds. Clean your home at least once a week. If youre likely to stir up dust, wear a mask or have someone else do the cleaning.
- Quit smoking. Tobacco smoke is one of the worst irritants known: It paralyzes the tiny hairlike cilia along the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract. It also reduces immune response and leaves a smoker much more susceptible to upper respiratory infection. In addition to preventing asthma attacks, quitting smoking will reduce your risk of cancer, heart disease, and many other conditions, as well as save you money.
- Learn about weather. Cover your nose and mouth if its cold out. If your asthma is worsened by cold or dry air, wearing a face mask can help. If you live in a damp climate, talk to your doctor about using a dehumidifier to maintain optimal humidity.
- Stay healthy. Maintaining good health can dramatically reduce the frequency and intensity of asthma attacks. A problem in the upper airways, such as a respiratory infection, can cause trouble in the lower airways (the bronchial tubes) and precipitate an asthma attack. While taking steps to avoid getting sick makes sense for everyone. Taking care of yourself and treating other conditions linked to asthma will help keep your symptoms under control.
